Selling at the Art Fairs & Craft Markets

We love supporting local artists and craft businesses and welcome anyone - professional or first-timers, to apply to our events.

Please note that selection will be made on a first come first serve basis and all applicants will be contacted within 5 days. We are fully booked for 2021, but applications for 2022 are now open.

Details

  • £20 for a 6ft table / space. Only one table / space per stallholder.

  • If your application is successful you will receive a formal email invite. Payment will be requested a month in advance, and must be paid promptly to secure the space.

  • Selection will primarily be based on a first come first serve basis. However, in the interests of keeping each event varied for our visitors we will not invite you to an event where we already have someone with similar work.

  • If you are not invited to a date you have applied for, you will automatically be put on a reserve list for that date. 

  • Each event runs from 10am to 3pm and your work should be on display in a professional and tidy manner during these times. No packing up before 3pm as we do get last minute visitors. 

  • Set up times will be sent to stall holders prior to each event, so we can stagger people coming in and out of hall..

  • Limited parking spaces can only be used for loading and unloading into the hall. Alternative parking must be found elsewhere for the day.

  • Cafe open from 10am

  • All print advertising and social media will be undertaken by us, but we strongly encourage all participants to engage in spreading the word!

  • All stallholders will be listed on this website along with a photo and link to their website. This information will also be sent out to our email subscribers. We will request this information a month in advance.

  • Tables are supplied, but we suggest you bring a table cloth.

  • You can bring easels, browsers and card racks etc, as long as these stay tucked in beside your table and do not cause a hazard for visitors or encroach on other stallholders. 

  • All participants are responsible for insuring their art against damage, loss, theft, etc.

  • You can charge what you like for your work and can keep 100% of your profits. We do not ask for a commission.

  • If we cancel the event we will refund 100% of your payment. Payments are non-refundable if you choose not to take up your space.

  • We offer one free table to a charity / fundraising cause each month. This is a table on the stage, and will receive the same publicity and promotion as all our artists - please email us on chippenhamart@gmail.com if you would like this.

  • We also offer one free table to anyone who would like a table in the entrance hall, in return for them counting the number of visitors who come through the door. Please let us know if you would like this position by emailing us on chippenhamart@gmail.com

  • We are very friendly and are happy to answer any questions, and will be on hand to help in any way we can.

FAQs

I don't know whether to apply to the Art Fair or Craft Market, what is the difference?

Most people consider themselves either 'artist' or 'crafter' but it is a fine line between them. I would suggest that in this case, the main difference is the price point. I feel people who visit a CRAFT market will expect to pay less for something than someone who visits an ART fair. So if your prices are rather high, you may want to apply for the Art Fair to avoid pricing yourself too high above the stallholders in the craft market.

Fundraisers

We support local fundraisers and local people raising money for charities, by offering one free table per event and promoting the cause on our website and social media.
